          • Refunds are given up to one week prior to a class
          • You may transfer your registration fee to another class if cancellation is made within 48 hours of the class start date/time.

    Potters and Clay Artists are welcome to join the Lander Art Center clay open studio program at 320 Studio. We have 5 potters’ wheels, a slab roller, a pug mill and lots of table space. Open to past LAC clay class participants/beginner orientation participants and experienced potters.

    Pen, Ink, and Watercolor

    Get reintroduced to painting in watercolor with this three class series. Kristen will guide you through introductory watercolor techniques as you create beautiful illustrations. Students will use micron pens to add detail and definition to their creations. This class is geared towards beginner and intermediate watercolor painters.

    Papermaking

    Learn the basics of creating your own handmade paper with master printmaker Jim Jereb. Create your own high quality smooth paper for printmaking, book-binding or drawing. Participants will learn the skills of sheet forming necessary for all paper making procedures. You will come away from this workshop with several sheets of 11X15 paper with your own unique watermark. All materials are provided for this one day intensive. Class size limited to 5, so sign up soon!

    Have a digital camera but not quite sure how to use it to take great photos? This class begins at the Lander Art Center learning the basics of digital photography before heading outdoors to shoot on location. Nick will teach students about camera settings, lighting, composition, and photo editing. The class will practice taking landscape photos as well as portraits. Students must bring their own camera.

    Pet Portraiture

    Do you love your fur baby? Immortalize them on canvas in this unique class. Students will sketch from photos and can choose from a variety of mediums to bring their pet's portrait to life. Noelle will help guide students with drawing proportions, perspective, and choosing paints. This class is open to all experience levels.

    Landscapes in Oils

    This class is ideal for the beginner to intermediate oil painter. Students will learn to sketch a draft from a photo and concentrate on one larger painting. The primary subject of the class will be creating landscapes and interior scenes.  This is an excellent follow-up to Kiki’s Intro to Oils class.

    Woodburning Workshop

    Saturday, November 18, 10 am- 3 pm

    Sunday, November 19, 10 am- 3 pm

    Cost: $75

    Instructor: Elyse Guarino

    Location: 320 Studio, 320 Main Street

    Woodburning is the art of using a heated tool to apply decorative burn marks to wood. This class discusses basic wood burning tools and equipment, pattern transfer, introductory techniques, and wood preparation and finishing. You will practice using the tools in class and will have enough time to complete one finished project. Students must dress appropriately: no loose clothes, closed toed shoes required, long sleeves and thin leather gloves are recommended. Limited to ages 16 and up.
