CLASS PAYMENT and REFUND POLICY
          • Payment is due at the time of registration
          • Payment guarantees enrollment in a class
          • Your spot in a class is reserved once paid
          • Refunds are given up to one week prior to a class
          • You may transfer your registration fee to another class if cancellation is made within 48 hours of the class start date/time.
          • If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, we will contact you prior to class and all class fees will be refunded

    320 Clay Open Studio


    Tuesdays, October 1 - December 10

    Time: 6-9 pm

    Cost: $10 drop-in, $40/ 5 session punch card.

    Studio Facilitator: Sam Rastatter

    Location: 320 Studio, 320 Main Street.

    Potters and clay artists are welcome to join the Lander Art Center clay open studio program at 320 Studio. We have 5 potters’ wheels, a slab roller, a pug mill and lots of table space. We have a kiln that fires to cone 6. We sell clay in 25 lb bags for $15. The 320 Clay Studio is available to past LAC clay class participants, people who have taken the Beginner Orientation, or experienced potters.

    Creative Minds: Complete Series

    Ages 9+

    Tuesdays, October 8 to December 10 (No class Thanksgiving week, Nov. 26)

    3:30 - 5 pm @ Lander Art Center

    Students will develop creative talents while making unique art pieces. The program is divided into 3 blocks.  Sign up for the whole series for $130 and save $20. Students can also sign up for individual blocks.

    LITTLES CLASS, ages 2-6

    We are combining Little Squirts and Little Picassos!

    Wednesdays, October 23 - December 11

    Time: 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

    Cost: $10 / class or $45 for a 5 class punch card.

    Location: LAC, 224 Main Street.

    Instructor: Nikole Wohlmacher

    Young artists will enjoy this engaging class that will have them painting, sculpting, and drawing. Students will use creativity and imagination to express their thoughts, ideas, and reactions. This class is designed to foster the uninhibited quality of this age group.

    Embroidery for Embellishment

    Tuesdays, October 29, November 5, 12, 19

    Time: 6 - 8 pm 

    Cost: $70

    Instructor: Maggie Bell

    Location: 320 Studio, 320 Main Street

    Join Maggie for an introduction to three different hand embroidery techniques: traditional, sashiko, and shisha. The class will begin with a sampler to practice basic stitches followed by instruction on these different techniques. Students are encouraged to bring three items they would like to embellish using the different stitches taught in class. All materials will be provided.

    Creative Minds Block 3: Mapmaking

    Ages 9+

    Instructor: Shannon Kelly

    Learn how to draw a map including a map key. Shannon is a skilled designer and screen printer and an excellent teacher. She gently encourages students to reach their full creative potential.

    After School Art Block 3: Fuzzy Fibers

    Ages 6-8

    Learn how to make fluffy critters and felted ornaments with Sam. Other activities will include dyeing, sewing, and more. This will be a fun introduction to the fiber arts.

    Rolling Mill Textured Jewelry

    Thursday, November 21

    Time: 6 - 9 pm

    Cost: $45

    Instructor: Lennie Poitras

    We will create earrings, pendants and cuffs by using found materials and brass texture plates to texture copper sheet run through a rolling mill. This class will be part of the Adult Creative Series.

    Whet Palette Painting Social

    Wednesday, December 11

    Time: 6:45 - 9 pm

    Cost:  $35 per session   

    Instructor: Stacy Wells

    Location: Lander Art Center, 224 Main Street.

    Payment required at time of registration to reserve a seat

    Stacy's assistants work for tips so if you like your experience please tip accordingly

    Come to the Art Center for a fun evening of wine, painting and social time.  Make it a girls night, a date night, or connect with a family member.  Solo? Come meet new friends!  No talent or experience necessary, just come ready to paint!  Instructor Stacy Wells and assistants will guide you step-by step.  You will be amazed at your very own work of art. Your $35 dollar fee includes 2 glasses of wine, light appetizers and all painting supplies.  If you feel you need more to release your creative side feel free to BYOB or even bring your own food.

    Hurry and sign up!  These spaces wont last long.
